I heard a preacher tell the story of a young man who went to visit his retired music teacher at the teacher’s apartment building.

The wise old teacher tapped a tuning fork against the table and said, "That is A."  From the apartment above, a woman heard the pitch and sang the note.

"She’s sharp," said the old teacher.

He tapped the tuning fork again and said, "That is A ... always has been, always will be.  440 vibrations per second and it will be the same 5,000 years from now."

Sometimes, it feels as if everything around us is changing—sometimes for better and sometimes for worse.  Babies are born, loved ones die, kids go to college, friends come and go, jobs change, looks change, health changes.

Whenever we start to feel overwhelmed by the change in our lives and in our world, all we have to do is tap the tuning fork of our faith and remember that God wasis … and will always be.  He is always the same—an immovable Rock upon which we can rely.  And if we cling to that Rock, our foundation will stay steady and strong, no matter how big the storms of change.  In the big storms, you have to anchor DEEP

God’s love is unchanging.  He loves you and He has a plan for you.  Don't let the newspaper headlines scare you. God is King.  He's still on the throne.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8
